when cooking food in the oven, when should you NOT grease the pan? Does it matter or should you always just grease it?

  1. I only grease it if the recipe calls for it... anything that has butter, cheese, oil, or fats of any kind will usually produce enough grease that you don't need extra

  2. You only need to grease the pan for things that will stick.

It won't hurt anything to do it every time.

If you don't do it, you'll soon find out what things stick.

Usually cakes will require a liner of parchment paper.

  3. It really just depends... I always pam or grease the pan to help with clean up .. but like the previous person said... if there is already a lot of oil, butter or fat in the recipe like cookies you shouldn't need to. Personally I hate scrubbing burnt cheese off pans so I always pam anything with cheese!!!
