When cops claim they caught you speeding from 1/2 a mile away...?

how do they know that YOU were the one speeding? I'm sure the trees are blocking their little camera from taking a picture of my license plate, especially if they hide behind the trees.

You should cross examine the the traffic police regarding the radar brand and type.  The officer's training in the use of the radar and whether the radar has been calibrated by the officer.  Ask to see his certification to operate the radar equipment.

depends on where you live, you can fight it and maybe pi$$ the judge off for taking up the courts time, then he may double your fine. or you can just pay and chock it up to experience.

it's called a laser.  Even if they took a picture from 3 feet away how does a picture tell them how fast you're going?  I mean does that make any sense at all?  Laser.

They may just need something to do. Just don't argue. It will just make it wores.

They use a radar gun which has a laser which is pointed at your car. In some cases there will be a group of cars speeding but he will take the one in the back because that car will be easier to pull over.

Well, if you're sure it's not you contest it in court. If the cop doesn't show up, the ticket is dismissed. However, at least in California the cops are paid to attend these hearings. If you're the only person on the road, or there was more then a single car length gap between you and someone else, or you know for a fact someone just went flying by you.. you're out of luck.

they see all cars and yours sticks out becasue it's moving away quicker and it only takes one second for them to nail you actully not even that long. they can as far as a mile down the road, if it's lazer it works at the speed of light with a high speed calulator like a video game.
