  1. Man...the casinos are going to make a KILLING off of all these people now that they've all been "inspired" by 21...this is hilarious...

  2. Watch that new movie called 21 and you will become a bazillionare!

  3. A good count is +10 or higher.

source: an old gambling book i had.

  4. This is a very broad question

A good count might be any count that is hgh enough to yeild positive expectation.  the advantage increases by ~ABOUT~ 0.5% for every increment of one of the true count, you will have to deduct the off the top house advantage from that to get your actual advantage.  This number varies based on the rules of the game so a fixed number for a winning true count is not possible.   For example a true count of +1 relevant to the -0.48% disadvantage of a typical multideck game would have a small edge (-0.48+0.5=0.02) this could mathematically promt you to raise your bet.   So in the case of multideck stand on soft 17, double after split allowed, a count of +1 or higher is "GOOD"and you canmake money off it

This isnt the case when other less favorable rules such as the dealer hitting a soft 17 are involved and the disadvantage is higher.  In that case a count of +1 woudl still be at a disadvantage and not deemed a good count.

notes, the true count is the product of dividing the running count by the number of decks left to be dealt, this is the only way you can guestimate your edge.  Also,  The edge you gain from higher counts grows slightly exponentially higher as the tc gets higher, so at tcs above +6 the 0.5% method is somewhat inaccurate.

  5. Simple for a single deck it is 2 or above

For a double deck it is 4 or above

For a triple deck it is 6 and above and so on.
