  1. 1 billion Chinese.... odds in their favor to shape a few into good athletes ............

  2. wen they started concentrating all their money and time on one child...seriously, think about it..

  3. Four years ago the  started program 119. That's the amount of gold medals they could win and concentrated on those events. They spared no expense because the want the world to see that they are a leader.

  4. Unlike other Countries, China pays for everything for all of their athletes....er...should I say we are paying because that is all we can buy here in the United States....their c**p!

Oh...and they don't abide by the rules either!!!

*edit* -- Why all the thumbs down. It IS the truth, like it or not!.

  5. when it started to become competitive economically past decade. parents put their kids to training because they cant afford to give foods to kids and kids has better future. it's not like stealing the kids as many americans say. same thing in the US, kids also put their kids to training.....there is no way youngster know what they really want. parents have lots of influence. same in china.

  6. They push them so much. For example: in gymnastics the age requirement is 16 but they put in girls that are said to be 13 and 14. And they are amazing but to be that good at such a young age means that they were probably pushed over the limit.

  7. when they knew they we're gunna host the olympics and then they pushed the athelets really hard u get it?

  8. When they became the host country and got baised judges.

  9. When they started to put "newborn babies" already on hard training.

  10. when they get taken away from their families at 1 year of age.

  11. It has been a gradual progression for china. The China we know today - the Peoples Republic of China has only competed since 1984. Prior to that, the Republic of China competed for some years and competed as Chinese Taipei in 1984 - highlighting the difference.

    Since then they have won

    1984 - 15/8/9 - 32

    1988 - 5/11/12 - 28

    1992 - 16/22/16 - 54

    1996 - 16/22/12 - 50

    2000 - 28/16/15 - 59

    2004 - 32/17/14 - 63

On top of that, because the host automatically qualifies for every event, they normally enjoy a larger than usual medal haul for that Olympiad.
