I'm sure I remember this, he was in a tussle with some alien or other, around the time of Jon Pertwee or maybe Tom Baker, and I'm sure he said something like "don't worry, I was galactic wrestling champion". Can you tell me the Doctor, the story and if possible the episode. Thanks

  1. I thought I already answered this one!

Thought about it last night and my best guesses are either Curse of Peladon (he has a fight with the kings' champion) or Carnival or Monsters (when he had a fight with one of the humans on the boat, but I think that was a boxing match).

I'm sure it's Pertwee but it could be Tom Baker.

  2. I remember the 3rd Doctor saying on a number of occasions that he was an expert in "Venusian Jui Jitsu" or "Venusian Aikido", and I also remember him using it in quite a few fights during the 3rd Doctor's time - e.g in "The Sea Devils" and "The Green Death". The 3rd Doctor was the only one who was always prepared to enter into hand to hand combat to defend himself, although the 4th Doctor could also hold his own when required.

I can't remember a specific episode where he described himself as a "wrestling champion", although it's certainly possible that he did say it at some point.

  3. Hmmm, it is ringing a bell. I believe it was a Tom Baker episode, but I am not sure of the title. I will EDIT later when it comes to me.
