When did ESPN become the home network for Boston New York?

I flipped past sportscenter the other morning half a dozen times and they had a Red Sox or Yankee story coming up every single time. Fox Sports is better balanced, but lacks in depth and quantity, or I would stop watching ESPN altogether. Who agrees?

I don't know if all the time they have things about the Red Sox and Yankees, but not stop watching ESPN, you could flip to ESPN 2. You could try Mike and Mike in the morning with Mike Greensberg and Mike Golic, they don't always talk all the time about Boston and New York. But you still you have to admit that it is a pretty big rivarly, I don't know as big as the Cubs and Cardinals.

first of all, red sox and yankees don't only play on ESPN. The Red Sox mostly play on NESN and Yankees on Yankee yes. Only on one game of the series they play on ESPN because they're the biggest rivalry in sports.

ESPN has always been horrible, the only reason it exists is because basically it is a monopoly in national sports coverage.  Their slant towards the East Coast harms the MLB in establishing stronger markets.

I have stopped watching ESPN, I listen to Chicago Sports radio and get better in depth national analysis there.  That shows you how deficient ESPN really is.  If you want to really keep up with sports, then you have to go to sports Web Sites, Radio, or some newspapers.  ESPN is worthless and lacks true substance.

I agree it's starting to get old... Places such as the west get no recognition whatsoever unless someone throws a new hitter.
