As per rhino's answers,  lets forget the 83 final we were robbed by the ref giving a blatant penaly infringement to Fev in the last few minutes when it was a foul on Charlie Stone I believe. They also took out Kevin Harkin without a flinch from the ref (Though Paul Rose did do for Gilbert later)

Flatcapp, Hobbs was a good player but our defense was really slack, with us thinking we would roll you over we didn't deserve to win. Hull just thought they could turn up & win whereas Fev really wanted it from the off.

in 1973-4 they beat bradford northern now the bradford bulls who were a second division team at the time and the last team from outside the top division to get to the final. the following year fev lost to my team warrington
