When did Heinz Wolff'Die'?

I remember reading his obituary years ago in a newspaper and then finding out that they got it wrong. Does anyone know when this was and what the fallout from this was?

They must have got it very wrong then, because he's still alive.

Probably a case of mistaken identity.

All I can find out was that it was in the Sun. The fact is mentioned on several sites, but nobody seems to have a date for it.

It seems there are a lot of people who have been able to read their own obituaries. Sometimes the mistake had tragic consequences, for example Marcus Garvey died from the shock of reading his own obituary. Sometimes they were quite funny. Thanks for prompting me to look it up.
