  1. If floresiensis is an adapted erectus, then they lived until at least 13,000 years ago.


  2. In my studies, I've always seen H. erecus/ergaster dated from 1.8mya-75000 years ago. While it is possible they lived longer, some anthropologists claim that hominins after that time were different species (such as H. heidelbergensis)

The first answer was correct except that he didn't use qualifiers.  The most recent fossils were found in Java that are around 20,000 years old.  This does not mean they died then and it fact based on the sparse fossil evidence it seems unlikely that we found one of the last to survive.  It is possible they survived to this day.

  4. Although Homo erectus first came on the scene between 1.6-2.0 million years ago in Africa, they were able to survive as recently as 27-53,000 years ago in Java...
