When did In-Line skating cease to be a sport worth covering?

It used to be a prominent branch of the X-Games, and now it's no longer covered there, the Dew tour or any other place I can think of. Aggressive in-line street used to be one of the more fun events to watch.

When the X Games started in 1995, there were 7 inline skating events on the schedule. By 2001, they say they had trouble finding enough good competitors. By 2006, there were no inline events in the X Games.
