When did Lucky Strike Greens change their pack colors?

I have often wondered when did Lucky Strike quit making their famous Lucky Strike "Greens" cigarette packs and changed them to white colored cigarette packs, some people call Lucky Stike "whites"?

during world war 2 they changed because the green paint had copper in it.  the copper was needed for the war.  "Lucky's gone to war!"
