  1. They didn't! But they did enter into an agreement to operate the station for Ross Love of Blue Chip Broadcasting. Eventually the station will transfer into Mr. Love's hands.

    Radio one did, however, buy 15 stations owned by Cincinnati-based Blue Chip Broadcasting (Mr. Love's company) back in February.

    This is fairly common in radio. Mr. Love wants to keep the station, but doesn't want, or have the time, to operate it. So he turns the operation over to a well-established radio company and pays them to run it for him. Or perhaps they are doing it for free as part of the sale of the 15 other properties.
