When did common courtesy officially die?

It just seems people are getting ruder. Pushing and bumping into others, letting doors slam in your face even though they know your behind them. Cutting in line, not waiting their turn for something.... the list goes on

  1. Its been steadily getting worse for years. One reason is that some people who really DO open the doors for others never hear a thank you. Or they never get one opened for them so they think, 'Whats the use?' But really...

Dont stop doing those things.. no matter how people respond. Dont let others change your good manners. People who MATTER will appreciate it.

But it starts in the home. My parents trained me to ALWAYS so please and thank you so its a habit like breathing. Parents MUST train their kids with manners.

  2. When parents quit spanking their children.

  3. Shortly after common sense.

  4. I wish you had a story to back that up with. I think that the idea of courtesy has changed though. Tremendously.
