  1. 70 to 80 years ago ???

  2. Affordable by the mass.

  3. I think it's boring. I don't know how it became the thing to do. As for being affordable. NO way! Only if it's McDonalds and a DVD at home. BUt I do think it may be because on a first date it's hard to come up with things to talk about. So you can't really talk much while eating a meal and talking at a movie is rude. Maybe that's how it became the standard.

  4. i think the movie was the first piece of the date and then the date said she was hungery soooo they go out 2 eat

  5. Hasn't that always been the standard?  What do you do on a date, a first date in particular?

  6. It is usually customary.  It just seems like it was always the thing to do.

  7. Since the 1950s, I think. People never ate first because that was the time to sit in silence and the boy put his arm around her for the first time. Then their first conversation is about the movie, then as they eat dinner, they talk about themselves.

Because the order is more predictable, nervous first-daters usually do this rather than risk something that forces them to dive in head first into real conversation.

  8. January 12th, 1945.

  9. i remember doing it since HS, i dont know i guess is the simplest and most affordable way.
