When did everything right and fair leave this world?

The rich get richer by messing the poor over...and the law & government helps them. I have always taught my kids that if you do what is right then everything will be alright. I no longer believe that. Evil/greed wins...and good gets messed over. How do you go on in a world gone mad?

  1. It didn't.  The people got an illness called: Expectionitis" and now nobody is satisfied with what they got, they just want more.... and more..... and more.  The world has no mind and can't get mad, it are the uneducated, that mess the system up.

    Peace.

  2. I suspect that you are a bit tired and discouraged.  Even depressed.  Nothing wrong with the rich getting richer, they also get poorer if they make stupid mistakes, just like anyone else.

Your problem is that you think belief has anything to do with things.  So don't "believe" something.  Try basing your viewpoints on rock solid knowledge and if you don't know, don't say you "believe", say you don't know.

The world is not mad, it is however complex and vexing at times.

  3. "If you are going through h**l keep going..." - Churchill

I didn't want kids for a long time because of this.

But if you give up, who is going to teach them the right way? Who is going to go out in the world and help set it right even if it is in small ways?

Keep teaching your kids the right way and encourage them to entrepreneurs with a heart, like Branson.

  4. Human nature has never been fair. In Roman times the rich got richer. It's always been the same.

  5. The world is how it always has been. Your assumption that right/wrong existed was an illusion. The best remedy for this is to first acknowledge it, embrace it, and then play the game to your advantage. Not doing so makes you another sucker.

  6. BECAUUUUUSE: people who are naturally like that (evil and greedy), which is the minority, are attracted to eachother and then they make more children who are also evil and greedy and then these people become the majority and then the world turns out how it is today.

  7. www.thesecret.com is where you should be.

  8. Its fairly much always been that way.

    I was raised to believe

"IT doesn't matter what you do, as long as you don't get caught"

with the proviso of not f*cking over friends and family.

That's a much better mantra to raise children with.

they're more interesting when they've got less morals.

  9. open Pandora's box, honey, and set the last thing in it free: HOPE.

the world has become harder to live in, sure - but still, most things turn out well.

  10. Everything went to pot when lobbyist and attorneys jumped in.

  11. You lead by example. If you want to really teach your kids a lesson, then live it! Its not nice to "do as I say and not as I do". If you really want to show them how good can win over evil, you keep trying. And trying, and trying and trying. If doing the right thing was easy, we would all do it. The key to change is believing within yourself that it only takes one person to start it, and if led by example, can only be accomplished by many. I have two children of my own and find myself, angry and disgusted, much like you my friend. Dont give up, the power lies within us. I taught my kids to teach by leading, love like they want to be loved, and trying isnt really giving your all unless you feel some discomfort. Changing the world isnt easy, but it is worth a try. I believe that life isnt just necessarily about getting where you are supposed to go. Sometimes the journey is as important as the destination.

  12. Everything right and fair left the world when people started believing that avoiding making waves, giving in to the fear placed upon them, going with the flow, not saying NO when an injustice is done to them or done in their name, not questioning anything,  being divided, refusing to think logically , and hoping bad things would just simply go away was the way to go about in this world.

  13. When has it ever been right and fair, unless there is a complete change within the social structures of our social systems the problems will keep worsening.

The capitalist nature of society is its `biggest downfall

  14. There's nothing you can do (unless you are in a position of influence/authority) except - stay true to your morals & prepare your kids for the inevitable, or they may end up disillusioned with society later in life.

    Watch V for Vendetta

  15. ...when YOU stopped listening to YOURSELF...

  16. First, life was never fair.

Second, how do the rich get richer by messing over the poor?

That doesn't make any sense whatsoever.

The rich get richer by creating goods or services of value and thereby creating more jobs and opportunities for others to become rich.

Third, your idea of "good" is completely wrong.

  17. When people gave up being good because they thought being bad would be better.

Don't give up, don't join the madness. Pray for the world and for yourself and your children. Keep hope alive and set a good example for those around you.

What goes around comes around, sometime it just takes a lifetime to get back to you.

  18. " every generation believes that there was a golden age that ended about forty years previously"- anon

  19. I think that is a matter of perception.

There's plenty of good in the world if you are open to seeing it.  We, each of us, have to rise above the bad in the world, to keep a sanctuary of peaceful humanity in our own hearts and homes and to propagate this simple idea with patience and understanding.

Evil and greed won't go away if you carry hatred in your heart.

The antidote to evil is love.
