  1. It happened when "politically correct" became the new Soma for Americans.

  2. When sensitivity joined the workforce, we became a nation of touchy-feely-nice-freaks and anyone who expects anyone to toughen-up, or take-it-like-a-man is instantly labeled a heartless, insensitive, bigoting caveman.  It just keeps getting worse.  Pretty soon you won't even be able to make jokes about......

  3. I think it was about the same time that accumulation of personal wealth became more generally admired than social conscience.

  4. Self-reliance is considered bad in most Liberal circles. It puts the lie to their argument that government is the answer to everything.

  5. A long time ago.  It was a joke already back in the seventies.

Remember the movie "Life of Brian" when Stan wanted to be a woman so he could have babies? When he was told he couldn't have babies, his response was "Don't you oppress me!"

Wake up. It's old news to be evil for pointing out reality.

  6. It isn't and it hasn't become that.
