  4. i believe in the early to late 1800's they were exterminated because of fear and that they would kill their livestock and the stories of them killing pioneering children while they played outside PS as wolves are being reintroduced to Yellowstone after gone for100 yrs ranchers on adjoining spreads are killing the wolves as fast as they see them close to their properties for fear that they will kill their livestock these wolves are being brought in from Canada
