It's Nastia Liukin btw, not Nasia, her plane gets here at 4:15 in DFW Terminal B, everyone in town is going to meet her there.  She started at 3, like most gymnasts, born to Soviets that immigrated to the US after the 1989 Cold War ended and the Berlin Wall came a crashing down.  Her dad was a gold medal gymnast as was her mom, and they didn't intend for her to be one, but after they setup shop at WOGA in Frisco, TX she took an interest in the sport and it's all downhill from there.

3yrs old. her parents didn't intend her to become a gymnast because of all the hard training but they couldnt afford day care or w/e for her so she stayed with them at their gym and just followed along with the other girls.
