To clarify this is not a question of why they are segregated but of when it happened as in during which period of history

  1. 1739.

The first segregated toilets for men and women were made available at a ball in Paris.

  2. because  women are more hygenic than men and men's urine comes across strong to women and that women sit down and men stand up theefore there should be seperate places and also so it stops rest rooms and that becoming over crowded.

  3. Since day 1.. Sometimes you might think it is a bad idea but actually when you think about it, especially public places, you will realise it is for a good cause. Some men really cant get themselves to point directly to the toilet. All they see is just the seat
