When did that last happen?

Before today when was the last F1 race to be ended by time limit.

Monaco 1997. They only got 62 laps completed on that occasion, with Schumacher in the Ferrari leading from start to finish and Barrichello in the Stewart running second for almost the whole race. Only Barrichello was still within a minute of Schumi at the finish...

The two races from last year mentioned above both ran for the full race distance.

its not that uncommon - i think there is one every 25 odd races.. in the last 4-5 years..

I think Marti is correct, last year the race laps were completed bang on the 2 hour time. Also over run at the European GP last year, by 6 min but nothing was done about it.
