When did the D-Backs get Joe Rauch?

My power was out from Friday till Wednrsday.

It makes me mad thet the D-Backs got him when they have Brandon Lyon. The Cardinals should have got him.

Oh well they can still get George Sherill, Houston Street, or Brian Fuentes.

It makes me mad that the Cardinals have the highest percentage of 6th inning leads in the MLB (56.7), and are 28 for 52 in save opprotunites. Think of all those blown saves (24). If they have a decent closer then they would probably be in 1st place.

  1. Since your power was out since Friday, maybe you didn't realize how bad Lyon has been in the last week.

    Flat out awful.

Rauch is probably the best value of all of those closers, based on what he gets paid and the D-backs probably had to give up the least to get him.

The D-Backs will probably be able to sign him next year if they want to make him their closer.

In addition, Colorado and Baltimore are asking way too much in exchange for Fuentes and Sherrill, respectively.

  2. never, being that there is no "Joe Rauch"  its Jon Rauch....sorry, but erroneous sports info is a big pet peeve of mine...and they got Jon Rauch on tuesday for a 2nd base prospect...and good luck to the cards (hope they can get Sherrill or Wilson from the Giants) cuz Im a sox fan and would love for the Brewers or cards to pass the cubbies.

  3. i dotn know when but i fully agree with you! im so pissed at the cards! i live in st. louis and i hate it!

  4. last week...bull pen is practically depleted for the D-backs...Lyon's last 2 save opportunites were not good, giving up 2 runs (still got the save) and then giving up 5 or 6. Both games were shutouts for the D-back starting pitchers.....

  5. They got him last Tuesday for Emilio Bonaficio.
