I was an EW (Electronic Warfare) from 76-82, and I know there weren't many of us (453 when I joined in 76, 1903 when I got out). Did the rate get absorbed into CTT?

  1. A lot of ratings "disappeared" or were combined with others.

I just learned this past fall that the SEALS have their own designation now.  "Back in the day" different ratings were in the SEALS (HT, EM, etc).  Weren't the QM's and SM's scrambling for new jobs a while back? Ahh the 'New Navy.'

  2. It happened in '03... those who do the job of an EW are all CTTs now.
