  1. ~Shortly after the Spaniards decided they didn't need to use corrals.

Edit:  Oh, sorry.  February 12, 1503 at 7:14 pm.

Edit to dcg:  Indigenous to North America?  Even Wikipedia wouldn't say anything that dumb.

  2. After the Spanish brought them to North America.  Some were stolen, some were caught in wild herds that formed, and subsequently they were traded. The Nez Perce were the most prolific horsebreeders among native peoples and created the Appaloosa.

  3. I am sure that they used them before any other invaders/cultures/ came to the Americas.  The wild horse is indigenious to the western plains, so they would have used this to their advantage.

  4. The Spanish brought horses to North America.  Native Americans, especially those of the plains, quickly adapted their culture to this new animal.  Prior to the horse, the buffalo (at least here in Colorado) were stampeded over cliff areas on the plains.  Kill sites were set up at the bottom of the cliffs.  The magnificent culture of the Plains Indians only lasted a few hundred years and then was wiped out by us.

  5. houses were Reintroduced in to north america in the 1500Dr's with the coming of the conquistadors.

  6. Im sure when the Spaniards came to america they brought horses with them ..... but if you dont believe me i got a source here...
