When did the MOMENT happen in your life?

Question

I Remember The Day

I sat to think

And thought I did

To shy days

When just a kid

Flying kites

Summer breeze

Riding bikes

And catching bees

Pole in hand

Hours on end

Solitude snared

My fishing friend

Pieces puzzled

Boxed sets

Tunes of time

One never forgets

Before the storm

There was no rain

A crystal child

Knew no pain

Parks and beaches

Smiles and grins

Star bellied sneeches

And lions dens

So much more

To take me back

Alas no more

My world gone black

The day it all went wrong

It's good. It didn't have all the in-depth hidden meanings that most poems do these days - it was clear, simple, direct and good. And yes I did just overuse adjectives - SO SUE ME!

I think.....life actually does balance....so....there will be a magic day to balance that one....I hope that new moment happens to you.... repeatedly.  I hope this Groundhog Day gets replaced by the Magic One for you.

Life is so much easier when touched by innocence. Nothing is ever so grand, then living in the naivity of childhood. You wish for the days of the grown, and beg for the days of youth once you realize how harsh adulthood really is

This a fun poem all the way to the last 2 lines. Sorry the good memories ended there.

Hey at least you have alot more good memories than me! I think I could remember maybe just 3 good memories of my childhood.

Playing with my sisters.

My dad taking me out to the carnival,

and little things here and there.

I like it.  Easy to follow and I will not even comment on the fact you dropped the rhymes,,, opps,,, guess I just did.  sorry.

But the question that simply begs an answer is,,,  what the hiddey-ho-heck is  "Star bellied sneeches" ? ( besides a word that rhymes with beaches ?)

EDIT:  that dratted sneeches word will not leave my brain,,, sneeches on the beaches,,,,
