  1. 1st January 1973 was the joining date.

No forecast to use the Euro, any supposed timeline that may have been floating around in Gordon Brown's head is now out the window following credit crunch and the pressure he is under.

I doubt Cameron would take us there any time soon either.

  2. We don't plan to use the Euro hun, we have our own currency thanks, we're happy with that so why should we change it ?

We'll trade our pounds in for the euro, when the USA trades it's dollars in for Euro's !

    Good Luck. X :-)

  3. It was 1973.

(Using the Euro?) about 3 years after the conservative party gain power

  4. 1973 or 1974. A sad day

  5. I would say the majority of people in the UK don't want to be in the EU and certainly don't want the Euro.

  6. Britain made attempts to join the EEC (European Economic Community) in 1963 and 1967. This ended in failure, mainly due to the opposition of President Charles De Gaulle of France. Britain, under the leadership of Edward Heath (traitor), was finally admitted in 1973. Denmark and Ireland also joined at the same time.

The EEC became the EU  in 1991.

With the pound being allowed to devalue the Euro will no doubt come along to save us, Gordon Browns evil little plan is taking shape.

  7. As to when, 1973, but I think WHY would be a better question!
