so in 2373 Picard and data killed the Borg queen, all the drones around them died even if they didn’t get hit with the warp coolant, later in voyager about 2378 Janeway her again, apparently this caused significant damage to the unimatrix, would not all of the Borg have been destroyed in 2373?

  1. correct, 10 points please.

  2. I think as one episode or in the movie that the body is not the real body of the borg queen and no one really know for sure where she is. Of course, Star Trek officials will not disclose it or they probably have never thought about that. Besides it wouldnt make sense that if the borg queen is in the past on the enterprise then who is controlling the current borg in the current timeline. Since no episodes have mention the extinction of borg, we can assume that it still exists.

  3. Well, if you look, the queen that Picard killed was different than the one Janeway infected with the pathogen.  I would assume that when Picard destroyed the Queen in 2373, she was controlling her Unimatrix and so with her dead the Unimatrix was destroyed, so it is possible that the Borg somehow selected another Queen and created a new Unimatrix for her.    The pathogen Janeway infected the Borg with would damage them, not destroy them.  So in answer to your question, the Borg never became extinct, Picard only killed a handful of drones connected to the Unimatrix, and Janeway didn't destroy them either, as I stated.

  4. We are not really extinct

    It's just a nasty rumour
