When did the chuunin exam happened?

Question

I mean when, first par or second part of the year? Was this the first exam that occurred after Naruto's graduation? And for what I've understood, Neji's team didn't go to the first exam and waited a whole year? Why didn't they go to the second exam half a year later (2 chuunin exams per year?) and waited for a whole year. Or the ninja academic year has just 6 months?

Shortly: can someone give me a time line like

Year 1: Graduation of Naruto

Year 2: Chuunin exam

etc...

As far as I know the Chunnin Exam's happned the same year that Naruto and his friend's Graduated from the acadamy. It happened right after the Wave Country Arc.

The reason Gai's team didn't take the Chunnin Exam the first year is because Gai didn't feel they were ready for it and decided to hold them back for another year.

Well the chuunin exams have been going long on even before Naruto's graduation,but they never really have shown when all of the chuunin exams took place,but the chuunin examps so happen to take place the same year as when naruto was graduating from the academy Although each exam is held twice a year most likely every 6 months of the here making them the 2 chuunin exams per year. As for Neji had his team yes they at first didn't take the first chuunin exam but had waited a year this was because Gai had wanted them to be more experienced for it and have more training.
