When did the passenger train stop running from kingston to montego bay jamaica?

I read an article in the Gleaner about the train that used to run. Look in their archives since I do not remember the date. It was a few decades ago that they stopped running. There was a horrible accident that led to it's demise.

I was not aware there was a passenger train,but that is a good idea! It would be nice if they brought it back!
