When did the world war 1 & world war 2 start respectivly?

The war, which developed into WW1, started on the 28.7.1914. Within weeks it developed into WW1.

The war, which developed into WW2, started on the 1.9.1939, and two days later, it developed into WW2.

What does it show? It shows that people were more concerned about what happens in other countries then they are today. And the fact that the US entered the war only on a later stage, shows that many Americans are interested only in power and getting rich. In fact, thank God the US presidents of that time were not like today's US presidents, for otherwise the US would have immediately entered the war and joined the Central and Axis Powers. The US of today has the same ideology (as the Central/Axis Powers)-remember: Serbia was one of the Allies in both World Wars.

World War I: France and Germany ordered "mobilization" on August 1st, 1914.  

The Austro-Hungarian heir to the throne, Archduke Franz Ferdinand, was assasinated on June 28, 1914, which eventually led to the declaration of war in August.
