  1. I did it when I started to give him juice. I continued with his milk in a bottle until he wasn't having milk any more which was around 18 months. (he would only have his bed time bottle from around 12 months - he just grew out of liking milk) Some of the sippy cups he wouldn't' drink out of at all, but we found a brand of cup he liked and used them from around 8 months. Once he got to 18 months he would take any cup. But he was lazy and would still stand there whilst you fed him it! And because he was our first we did it for him. Can't imagine doing that with this one though. I need ten pairs of hands as it is. Lol.

My son is also 4 and I can't remember much either. Motherhood turns your brain to mush. Lol.

  2. I did so by the time my son was around 1 to 1 1/2 or so.  He became interested in animated (well cartoon) cups and I begin buying him those.  Once your child can manage holding a bottle pretty good, you can begin by switching between the two until he/she gets more comfortable with the sippy cup alone.

  3. I gave my daughter all of her juice in a sippy cup around 9 months, but she would not drink her milk out of a sippy cup. She had a weird attraction to her bottles. So from 1 yr - 2 yr I tried and tried but if I wanted her to drink milk she would only take it in a bottle (and the moms that say just throw them away, that doesnt always work, great that it did for you) We had the dropin liner bottles so around her 2nd birthday I made her get the last sleeve of them out of the box and told her I was not buying her anymore once she was 2 bc she was a big girl (and we gave up the paci at the same time) so once we had the last one she was fine with that. She was old enough that I could reason with her so it wasnt tramatic or anything.
