  1. Kenneth Deffeyes, a professor emeritus at Princeton University, believes it has already happened — in late 2005. Others figure we still have another 20-30 years.

    One thing that many experts do agree on, however, is that when we do hit the peak, steps like the ones Bush is advocating will not be enough.


  2. hasn't happened yet North America alone has more untapped oil then was used since the industrial age began.Too many environmentalists protesting to go get it .Alaska, off the East coast West coast and in the Rockies

  4. In the USA 1970. The world perhaps not yet.I'm guessing with prices so high we may get a double peak. At $100 a barrel there will be more oil pumped than at $10.
