When did you get your first grey hair?

i was just wondering what the normal age is , and when you got your very first grey hair.

Well, in my family, it is very common for the guys to get grey hair at a very young age. I am a girl and thankfuly dont have to deal with it. But my brother who is 16 has a few gey hairs. My uncle had a full head of grey hair when he was 21. So i think there isnt really a "normal age" i think its Heredity.

ermmm... 10 years I think... I still have one or two gray strands (I'm 21 now)

But I don't think this is the answer you are looking for... my mom started getting gray when she was around 36... my dad has premature graying.

alot of it is heredity...there was a girl in highschool that had alot of gray..she was 17...i first started getting gray strands here and there at 19.

In my late 40's.

I have two sisters, one 6 years younger and another 1 year older, who both have more white hairs than me.  When my mom received radiation treatments for throat cancer at 50, her hair seemed to go completely grey overnight.  My dad started greying in his late 60's.

That is why I think that greying can also be a function of stress, medicine (or toxin) and general health -- as well as heredity.

You need to look at your relatives, especially your grandparents, and ask questions to see when they first started noticing grey hair. It varies widely. My grandmother went grey early and so did I - ( under 30) but my mom and dad didn't have grey hair until late 60's - early 70's. My husband is over 50 and has none.... so you never know, but a good indicator is your grandparents. For some reason, a lot of genetic markers skip a generation, this applies to baldness too.
