When did you go for post ivf blood work first time?

HOw soon did you go for hormon level to be checked?My md is doing it 7 days post transfer ?and again on 12th day?Anybody had same schedule?Why after 7 days?

My was 10 days after transfer. I had a 5 day blastocyst transfer. My RE told me that any HCG level higher than 50 was considered pregnant.  Mine was 139.  I had a second test 2 days later (to make sure it had doubled), my levels were then 399.7.  Needless ti say, I am pregnant.. YAY!!!

I want to say for us it was like 10 days to two weeks before a check.  It was the longest two weeks of our lives.  I'm sure they have to give it first enough time to either take or not, and then again to check and make sure hormone levels are responding to the pregnancy appropriately.  Chemical balance is very important in so many levels esp. early on.  If a person is low in a category as my wife was, the doc can supplement natural levels with supplements.

My RE tests 9 days past a 5 day transfer and12 days past a 3 day transfer and then another test 2 days after that. Checking after 7 days is to see how much, if any, HCG is in her system and the second check is to see if that number rises normally confirming a viable pregnancy.
