When did you have to stop wearing your regular pants and wear maternity pants?

I have been using bella bands since about week 8 I am now 18 weeks along and my pants are super tight. I am starting to feel like a hefer. I have gained 20 lbs, and the dr said if I maintain that for the next several weeks I will be ok. With my son I didn't really have this problem, or I didn't pay attention at least. I am just really sad that my pants are so tight and I feel super fat, any one else experiencing this? Is it normal to retire the pre-preggo pants at 18 weeks, even with the bella band?????

  1. i just bought tracksuit bottoms in a larger size i found them really comfy i did try maternity pants but i found they kept sliding down on me so ended up having to use a belt which didn't help when i was trotting to the loo every 15 mins lol i recommend tracksuit bottoms

  2. I stopped wearing my regular pants at 20 weeks

  3. Honestly you should just toss your pants aside and opt for baggier, bigger, maternity pants that way when they are on and comfortable and fitting you wont feel like such a heffer. trust me, when i put on my pants (normal sized ones) i feel like a whale but when i put on the maternity pants or sweats i feel just fine skinner sometimes.

  4. I started wearing maternity pants at about 15 weeks along. I could have worn my regular pants longer, they were just getting a little uncomfortable. I'm now 28 weeks and there's no way I could fit into my regular pants at this point, lol. I've gained 25 pounds and my doc says I'm right on target.

  5. I just went up in a size in jeans and capris never maternity pants.

  6. I am 12 weeks and my clothes are too tight, although I am still squeezing into them it is often uncomfortable. I feel like because I am only 12 weeks I should still be fitting into my usual clothes hence the reason I am still squeezing into them!! I have bought the band this week and am going to give it a try shortly but I still feel too early for that too. It's so hard!!! I guess everyone is different and I can assure you that when I am 18 weeks I definitely won't be wearing normal clothes!!! Hehe!!

Stay strong... We are beautiful xox

  7. Ummmm Your pregnant...Don't worry about maternity clothes.  I'm only 10 wks and already in pants.  But I'm not ashamed.  I'm proud of my bump.

  8. I haven't gained any weight, I am 14 weeks along and its my first pregnancy, and although I haven't gained weight, I am showing and today I have realized that I need to buy some maternity pants. I'm not sure if thats because I am a size 2 normally though and those jeans just aren't meant for pregnancy.

  9. I have a friend who was out of her pants like right after she found out its just your body and mostly where th baby lays. I gained 20 lbs just like you but where my son was I could wear some of my pants the whole time. 20 lbs is really good though if you maintain it you'll probably go right back to your original weight like I did.

  10. I started wearing maternity pants around the 14th week, they were just much more comfortable than my jeans.  I've gained about 26lbs and im 32 weeks along  :)      congrats!

  11. I've been very lucky . I'm 39 weeks and still not wearing maternity clothes and this is my 2nd child .Let me add though I had my 1st 9 yrs ago . I can still fit in some of my pre pregnancy jeans and shorts since they are low cut . What I also did was just go up a size in shorts to a size 7 Jr's.  You may beable to do that as well .

You are not " fat " my dear  and 20lbs is not a lot . Every pregnancy is different when you start showing .

Congrats on your 2nd pregnancy :)

  12. i started showing at like 16weeks but everyone isn't the same!!! i gained like 55 lbs with my daughter but lost 22 the first week and shes now 2 and I'm smaller then before i had her your body will get back the way that it was!!!!!!
