  1. I think if shes feeling uncomfortable with her hair and such, I'd say about age 11-12.

I started myself in late 5th grade

  2. I would wait until we had the topic come up.  If she was 11 or 12 and her friends were doing it or she was feeling a little self-conscious about it, then I'd let her.  Any younger than 11 and I'd be upset but let it slide if it were an appropriate reason.

  3. I have two daughters, and one on the way... I figure about age 11. :) My oldest is 9, right now.

But, it also depends on if it's needed.

  4. when you can see the hair and she starts feeling uncomfortable.

  5. Whenever she feels she's ready. It's just hygene, not going to turn her promiscuous. If you're worried about her cutting herself try veet or nair.

  6. At 12 she had already gone through puberty.

  7. I don't have a daughter but if I did I would let her shave whenever SHE thought she was ready to do so. I don't understand why parents think this is something that should be decided on based on age. My oldest son started shaving when he was in 5th grade. I certainly would never have said no you cannot shave til you are 16.

  8. i have no idea yet.

  9. age doesnt matter. everyone develops at a different age. i had a problem when i was born that made my development different so i got underarm hair in FIRST grade! so i didnt tell my mom but in second grade i shaved for the first time and i didnt know how to do it so i didnt use soap or anything and i shaved all my skin off and so i told my mom and she taught me how to do it right. i would just say when u see her getting hair teach her how to do it  and she can choose when she wants to. but lots of girls like to shave their legs just because. dont not allow shaving but tell her the hair will get thicker and once she starts she cant stop.

  10. My mom let me shave my legs (I didn't have under arm hair yet) when I finished 5th grade. I told her I was in middle school so I should be able to shave. By 6th grade most of my girlfriends were shaving. Don't make her wait until she's really old becasuse it's more embaressing than you know.

Don't listen to people who say "keep them kids as long as possible" because shaving is not a big deal. Removing the hair from your legs does not deprive you of your childhood. = )

  11. i would say her underarms 12 and her legs 14 or 15

  12. im 12 and shave

    to have hygenic apperance

when ever it starts growing shes got to start

its part of that ladylike apperance =]

  13. Whenever they asked me if they could. I remember being in middle school and not shaving yet and all the other girls were - I was scared to ask my mom, so I went on NOT shaving. I got made fun of! I finally couldn't take it anymore and told my mom I needed to start shaving. For some stupid reason, she got mad and cried! She eventually told me I could. I think it's dumb for parents to be scared to let their kids shave - I mean, who likes hair? lol NO ONE! I say, let them start whenever they ask to!

  14. I am not a mother yet, but My mother let me shave the underarms as soon as needed for when hair started growing.

As far as legs ar conserned around 12 or 13years old.

  15. 12, or buy the veet shaving cream, you put it on for 3 or 5 min(depending n what one you buy) and it makes the hairs weaker then you shave with a plastic razor thing(comes with) it works good, I use it.

Some of my friends also waxed.(if you wax whenever you need to when your younger barley have to shave when your older. My moms friend did it with her child)

  16. 6th Grade is when I got to shave and when my daughters will get to shave.

My 10 year old 5th grader is dying to shave now - but it is a right of passage as they get into middle school.  Plus you need to let / make them be kids as long as possible

  17. I was 11 when I started.

Shaving isn't a huge issue or something to fight over with your kids. There are going to be much more important things down the road.

  18. Well I would let them do it when ever they like and teach them  how because when i went to school and i didnt shave mty legs peopl stared to tease me and started to talk behind my b ack about it and it is better to teach them then for them to not care wht you say and go off and do it on there own and get hurt shaving.

  19. i dont but have a son but i would let her when she feel uncomfortable
