find his or her genitals?

My 6 month old daughter has just grabbing at herself and just wondering if this is normal this early. Sometimes she almost seems to be trying to scratch but that is the way she grabs everything and feels texture. There's no rash or discharge so I don't think it is anything.

SO when did your bub find their bits?

  1. My friend has a baby girl who is around that same age.  What she does is she lays on her stomach and rubs it.  She does it so often that it is getting rashy and red:( It is not uncommon for little girls to do this.  So yes, it's completely normal.  If she's grabbing too much and it's getting rashy or red, call your Dr.

  2. My son found his at about 7 1/2 8 months....and its just horrible!!! :P he hasn't realized that its attached to him so when he's in the bath and he see's it he gets excited and grabs on to his man hood with his mouth wide open and pulls at it like its a toy that he wants to explore with his mouth. He pulls so hard his face distorts and his little lip comes out, but if I remove his hand he just gets so upset! Lol...poor little man

  3. My son found his bits right about the same age! He would play with his boy parts instead of his toys when he'd take baths =]

One day he was pulling on it so hard I thought he was going to hurt himself, I called my husband in there to show him and he said 'if it hurts, he'll stop' =]

He's 1 yr. old now and he has rubber ducks and bath tub toys to play with in the bathtub, .. but even now (once in a while) he still prefers his wee-wee instead of the ducks!

  4. around 6 months also!
