When did your child cut their first tooth?

I have a 4 month old son and I was wondering how old babies typically are when they cut their first tooth?

my daughter cut her first one at about 5 1/2 months on the bottom...the second one cut on the bottom a few days afterwards

My youngest son was 4 months and he got his 2 bottom teeth at the same time. My oldest son was about 10 months when his 1st tooth appeared.

Many will say around 6 months.  My oldest cut hers at 10 weeks and my youngest at 5 months.

At almost 10 months, however, I truly thought that he had been trying since 3 months, and his slobering was increased starting at that age.and nothing happened until 10 months, 2 weeks.  Then, he got 4 within a week!

my daughter just turned 5 months on the 13th and today she cut her first tooth! I hadn't felt it last night while I was feeding her cereal with my finger. and I felt it today.

It can vary a LOT. My niece cut her first at 3 months and now has 15 teeth at 17 months. My daughter on the other hand cut her first at 12 months and has 8 total now at 18 months. Both girls are healthy and normal :-)

Both my kids cut their first teeth at about the 6 month mark, but my brother was only 3-4 months old. I wouldn't worry; it varies from child to child. :)
