  1. ciao non capisco nulla della vostra lingua ma sono un istruttore diving in sardegna... venitemi a trovare.....ciao

  2. You want the tank under you.

You do not want your body between the water and the tank.  It may hurt.

  3. Diving face-forward may dislodge the mask and/or the mouthpiece and, as another person said, that tank is heavy - you don't want it on top of you when you hit the water.

  4. Easier to do with all the equipment they may be lugging.

  5. Two major reasons to use the backwards roll as an entry, and both of them are related to the boat:

    1.  The boat doesn't have a dive platform.  Trying to step over the gunwale (side of the boat) wearing all of the gear is not safe.  As you are stepping over, any wave or motion could cause your to lose your balance and could lead to injury.  Sitting on the gunwale and rolling backwards is much safer and easier.

    2.  The boat is relatively small.  Trying to move around on it would be difficult in full gear.  So you just sit on the side of the boat and roll in.

Plus due to the weight of the tank, you won't roll all the way over.  The tank will hit the water first and will part the water for you.
