When do I get bail back?

I posted bail for my friend about a month ago at dupage county in illinios i requested it to be returned to me, wrote my address and information down on the return form

my friend is what you call "dumb" and he is unable to provide me with some type of number to call, he HAS been going to all his court dates and i'm making sure of it, i want to know if i need to go with or something because I really don't want.

you get bail back when the case is closed,and there is no restitution required.id be getting your "dumb" friend to start paying you back now,with interest,and make sure he pays you back completely,that way,when he ***** up,he loses his money,not yours.If they are stupid enough to get arrested once and dont learn from it,NEVER bail them out,its wasted money.

Why don't you call the dupage county courthouse, the # is in the phone book or 411 and ask for the county clerk. Get your friends case # and then they should be able to answer your questions. Also find out if he used a bail bondsman and try to call them. If you posted bail you should have some type of reciept with a number on it or something. YOur a nice friend to have.

Never bail out ANYONE with YOUR money, only with THEIR MONEY is it OK to bail anyone out.

You wont get it back until the court has disposed of the case. Then you will find at least 10% missing for court costs. You might want to keep in contact with the court on this to make sure of your standing in this matter.
