When do I water my garden?

I have heard that you should water it in the morning before the sun is hot so the water absorbes but that is when the flowers are open and the bees are out

Watering in the morning between 6:00 AM--11:00 AM is best if possible due to what is called trans-evaporation.  Less water evaporates into the air and goes to the roots.  It also helps the plant roots to stay cooler, which in turn keeps the entire plant from wilting as quickly--and recovering better if they do.  All that being said, I water in the early morning and in the early evening--around 5:30 PM-6:00 PM, usually every other day.
