When do Midas Cichlids get their horns?

When do Midas Cichlids get their hump on their heads? I've had my Midas Cichlid since November and it shows no signs of humpage.

Well, it's possible you have a female! I've had my Red Devil about a year and his hump is still pretty small. But it is there...so I'm guessing your's is a female.

Males generally have really long anal and dorsal fins, and they have humps (some larger than others).

Females have shorter fins and no humps.
