In a normal ski year, when do the Summit/Eagle County Ski resorts (Breckenridge, Vail, Beaver Creek, Keystone, Copper A-Basin) typically open 100% of their acreage?

I know the early part of this ski year was slow... I am wondering how far behind the ski resorts are compared to a normal year.

  1. They typically aim to have everything open by Christmas- when the big crowds come in....but of course, no guarantees...(but after this week, it looks like that just might happen!)

  2. Mid to late December. Still some exposed rock  and trees then too.

  3. late December to april
