My son turns one next month and I plan on introducing some new foods. Eggs being one. Also when is a good time to try peanut butter? If they are going to be allergic will it show up now or could it come about later on?

  1. I would not worry and just go ahead and try them. My mum had 4 kids, she ate shell fish and peanut butter etc throughout all of the pregnancys etc and we are all great, i ate what i like dhwne pregnant with my two and there great too, people are panicking too much, yes i would introduce these foods.

  3. Peanut butter should be fine after 12 months. Just make sure to only give a little bit to try and see if there is a reaction.

Egg is also fine. We have been giving our son egg yolk since about 8 months...we will be waiting till he is over 12 months to introduce egg white.

We don't have a history of allergies in our family. If you do, then it's best to be a little more careful.
