When do boys get the first growth spurt?

My son just turned 10 and is 4'3"...he's not the smallest in his class...and there are some enormous 4th graders also. The height range is so big. His dad is only 5'6".

my son is turning 11 next month and he is 4ft 7in (55 inches). He just went through a small growth spurt and I had to get him some new clothes. I think he will really take off over the next couple years.

My ten year old is only a little taller then your son (I am 5'9" and his dad id 6'3") I am thinking it should be within the next two years, the 5th graders at my sons school are huge!!!

I had my 1st at age 8 and another at 12 then at 14...and I am still 14
