When do i go to basic if i join ROTC?

Sorry this might be a stupid question but, im trying to figure out which route to take. Either i go back to the recruiter enlist serve my two years and go Air Reserve and go to school or OCS or go to basic entering as Reserve or Air National Guard go to school and go through ROTC if so Possible or just plain go to college and enroll in ROTC so many options and im not to sure of how i want to do it..... if anyone could fill me in on the AFROTC and the requirements other than the basic fitness, height, and other requirements that would be great

  1. There are no 2 year enlistments.

    You need a 4 year degree to be an officer.

    Anyone is allowed to take the first two years of ROTC class's, as long as they are a full time student.

    You do not talk to a recruiter for ROTC, you talk to the ROTC Department at the school you want to attend.

    If you want to go the ROTC route, then you would go to a version of basic, that is 4 weeks long, between your Junior and Senior year.

    For those who did not take the first two years of ROTC, the basic is 6 weeks long.


  2. Get your schooling out of the way and then go and see a recruiter and request OCS. Then be all you can be .
