When do i really start earning in OB/GYN? while studying or after completing my studies?

so i want to pursue a career in either biomed engg or OB/GYN.... so i was wondering...i will finish my studies for OB/ GYN In 11-12 that will be prolly by the time in 30 ...so is that the only time from when ill start earning or will i earn atleast something...before i am 30...i mean seriously!? :( neway amm abt biomed engg...in how many years will i finish studies for that and when will i start earning?

oh btw.... which department under OB/GYN is the best? in terms of money and a satisfying career?
