When do i send out the wedding invites?

i am having my bridal shower on sep 20th & my reception on Nov 8th.(getting married in jamaica & having a reception when we get back) when do i send out both invites?

also i wont have enough money to have people send back response cards, so i thought about having people reply on a websites. is this appropraite?

Bridal shower invites send out 2-3 weeks before.

REception invites (since it is reception only) I would say 4-6 weeks in advance. Typically wedding invites are sent out 6-8 weeks ahead but since it is just the reception I think 4-6 weeks would be fine.

For the response- If you know everyone has access to the internet then I think it would be fine to do it that way. It would be nice to include a phone number though just in case some people can't do it online.
