  1. They should be at least 8 weeks of age for giving it to them.

  2. When they are twelve weeks old. If they are younger than that you can use dawn dish soap to kill the fleas.

  3. You start right away. You should take it into Banfield, its like 12 bucks for a single shot and they do it so you dont have to worry about hurting her or messing up. =] I just got a puppy last week. =]

  4. 4 months old

  5. if you are using something over the counter, they all say they have to be 12 weeks and older.

but you can go to the vet and get something for them if they are younger than that

  6. ur not suppose to use flea and tick soap till they r 12 wks old, u can use dawn dish soap (original scent) use ur sink fill it with warm water and add the soap to it while u fill it. then wait a few minutes and then wash them with it starting at their head...  good luck...    :)

  7. Don't give any animal any medicine until you need it.  Wait until you have a flea\tick problem.  In the mean time, use natural methods to ward off the need for chemicals.

Bathe with gentle flea shampoos when needed.  Only treat with chemicals when the fleas are so bad you can't control with bathing.

Don't listen to the ones who want you to give these meds 24\7!  It's not good for any animal(or human) to take in any chemical unnecessarily.

  8. This is really a question you should ask your Vet when you have it there for shots and a check up.

  9. I took my puppy to the vet when he was 3 months old.  He had fleas.  The vet said I could have started at 8 weeks.  But get the stuff from the vet, not from walmart.
