When do i use an ice pack to reduce swelling?

i just got my wisdom teeth removed. right now its been 27 hours since then. I didn't see any swelling yesterday, but i still put the ice pack on my cheeks a little bit. today the swelling started.

my question is that is it a good idea to put and ice pack on today as well?

  1. Well usually when you get swelling, its advised to put ice on. The ice reduces the temperature where the swelling is, so it can even out. I would continue to have the ice on your cheek  till the swelling reduces or stops.


  2. yes its good to put on straight away. it will reduce in couple of days.

  3. I'm no doctor but if you feel like you need an ice pack put some thing around the ice pack and use it every 20 minutes or so.

  4. its a good idea to use a ice pack right away. so it will stop future swelling.
