When do most aquarium stores stop selling pond fish for the season?

Most stores will have goldfish year round since it is such a major income point, knowledgless people buying goldfish and sticking them in bowls is probably a good percentage of their income.

The local fish stores around here start selling the higher quality koi in May and the lower quality in April and stop selling the high quality ones around september/october and the lower quality they will carry year round if nobody buys them.
